Allied companies are the link - how to get more links to my website
The more links to your website the better you will rank on search engines, so why not get an allied company to put up a link to your website. To sweeten the deal always offer to put a link to their website on yours as well.
Your business could benefit in many ways if you can find an ally in another company. If you are thinking "how on earth can a business have an ally" I guess I should explain the idea a little further.
An ally business is not a direct competitor and do not provide the same service or products as your business. To think of possibilities for an ally try and imagine what other services or products your customers might consider. A business that supplies this need should then also have customers that might be interested in what you offer.
Let’s use the example of a company that sells outdoor blinds and awnings. A great ally company might be a company that fits security doors or installs patios. These businesses are not direct competition and often when people are looking for one of these items or services they could also be looking for the other. Struggling to think how this could apply to your business?
Here are some more examples of business that could easily help each other out with advertising:
- An accounting firm and a bookkeeper
- An earthmover and a landscaper
- A hairdresser and a massage therapist
- An electrician and a plumber
- A butcher and a greengrocer
